Staff Seminar on Safety of Children and Women

All the units of St Joseph’s Indian Institutions gathered in the auditorium at 9.30 am for the Seminar on the Safety of Children and Womenon 20 June 2017. The seminar was conducted by Rev. Fr Praveen Hrudhayaraj SJ and Rev. Fr. Felix Victor SJ who threw some light on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and what could be termed as harassment at the workplace. After this, there was a fellowship meal served. This was followed by a seminar by Dr Ali Khwaja on matters of how to understand the children of the twenty-first century – who are natives to technology and gadgets. Dr Khwaja spoke about how the emotional quotient of the child should be understood, especially as a student.
