Rector Farewell

The farewell programme was held on May 22, 2020 in the school boardroom in honor of Rev Fr. Leo Pereira the Rector of St Joseph's Indian Institution. The program began at 9:30 am with a traditional welcome to Fr Leo and all the Dignitaries followed by invoking God’s blessings.

Farewell commenced with the felicitation expressing our gratitude to Fr Leo for his tireless efforts towards the betterment of SJII’s. Fr Leo was presented with a gift as a token of love by the new Rector Rev Fr Joseph Rodrigues and Principal Rev Fr Rohan D’Almeida. The Support Staff of St. Joseph’s School CBSE expressed their wishes and gratitude towards Rev. Fr Leo Pereira and his extraordinary deeds in this esteemed Institution. Mr. Praveen honored Fr. Leo’s presence with his premium collection of photos and videos. Fr Leo was overwhelmed by the efforts put in by the support staff to exhibit the farewell during a period of the pandemic with all the school in Karnataka being closed down as per the Government instructions and in the absence of the teaching staff.

Our principal Rev Fr Rohan D’Almeida who also is the coordinator of Covid-19 Relief work at the Center for Social Concern, Bengaluru, expressed his feelings through a very thoughtful message. He also went on to deliver a brief introduction towards combating the virus with dedication by the Universal Apostolic Preferences of The Society of Jesus.

As we say goodbye to you Fr Leo, you shall be waving hello to new opportunities in your upcoming life, and we wish you all the best for that.

The farewell concluded with refreshments.
