Inter Religious- Prayer Service

“The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.”

-Rabindranath Tagore

St Joseph’s School CBSE plays a proactive role in promoting communal harmony by initiating inter -religious prayer service ‘Harmony’. Following social distancing norms given by the government it was live streamed on 8th of July. Students and parents of our school were invited to join online to ‘Pray for The Humanity’. As a Josephite family we offered prayer for the people who are afflicted and stricken by the pandemic, and also to sustain, strengthen and protect all those who are offering compassionate care and selfless service to humanity at this time of new peril. The prayer service led all of us to focus on our shared status as God’s creation and be united and work together for perfect unity and understand that the true essence of every religion is love and peace.

The prayer service concluded by quoting Kofi Annan-

“We may have different religions, different coloured skin, but we all belong to human race” and also giving a call to understand that despite differences, all religions share a similar message of peace and tolerance by promoting unity and harmony.
