Celebration of Hindi Diwas- 2020

Our country India has become a land of many languages and has been called “as a tower of veritable languages” or a “Museum of languages”. The constitution of India has approved 22 languages. Hindiis one of the 22 scheduled languages of the Republic of India.Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14 September because, on this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devnagri script as the official language of the Republic of India. Hence, the staff and the students of St Joseph’s School, CBSE celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm. An online live streaming programmewas launched on social media and on the school YouTube channel. The students prepared a special virtual assemble with great enthusiasm. The program began with an inspirational prayer song “Tumhi ho Mata pita tum hi ho” which was sung by the school choir. The students also delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the Hindi language. Few students from difference classes also presented with some cultural program. Principal Rev Fr Rohan D Almeida addressed the viewers with the significance of the Hindi language. The studentswere enlightened on thisspecial occasion.
